The industrial revolution was started in Pittsburgh with the manufacturing of steel. Though no longer what it once was in Pittsburgh, the industry still exists locally, nationally, and globally. Manufacturers/end users such as ArcelorMittal, U.S. Steel, Nucor, as well as many overseas entities, continue to upgrade and modernize to stay competitive in the world market.
